I decided to change the color scheme for this flower drawing. By drawing very loose in this way, I'm really starting to learn more about where to place my colors to emphasize light and dark. I know from observation where to show light and dark, but doing it from my imagination is teaching me a whole other way of thinking about it. I loved creating this piece allowing the analogous colors to flow into one another (the purples and blues in the flower) or contrast against each other (the purples in the flower and the yellow-greens in the leaves). Time to get more ideas for next week!
