My work is concerned with perception leading to conceptual, not the other way around. Most of the anti-aesthetic Postart being created today involves only conceptual. In order to achieve the sublime an artist must allow themselves to be both visceral and perceptual, and then perhaps this experience may ulimately transform into something that is both conceptual and profound! Many of the Postart artists of today merely force fit meaning. Lucian Freud and Antonio Lopez Garcia do not; they are both perceptual and achieve the sublime in paint!
