"Two Bottles," 6x8, oil on canvas board


Anything colored and contorted is hard to paint. In this case I foolishly lined up two colored bottles. When you paint, one way to simplify is to just paint what you see. When you can do this, it helps keep your brain from messing up your image. In this case I found it easier to understand the structure: that highlight there shows up in the green bottle here and then continues in the brown bottle. Interesting challenge.
