Magnolia Grouping ~ Jacqueline Gnott Watercolor Studio

4" x 6" ~ Watercolor on Paper
The whites of this Magnolia Grouping just look so crisp against this navy blue background. And it didn't really come to life till the pink coloring on the petals was added. Also, all my talk of details, pertains especially to the bud casings. They looked rather flat, but then I added my finishing touches of the little fuzzies, and it really gave them a wonderful 3-dimentional effect. I say, you can never add too much detail!! This piece was originally done 60" x 40". (It was quite spectacular!!) But I thought it would be great for the daily paintings also.
