Longhorn


Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.
I tried pre mixing most my colors before starting to apply any paint. I thought I'd give this method a try. A very good artist that I've been watching uses this method. His name is Frank Gardner...you can see him here.
It sped the process somewhat, but I tended to keep adding and changing the colors as I painted. I felt I wound up painting just like I have for the last trillion years. You all know the story about old dogs and new tricks,heh. Pre mixing is a commendable method....I'll have to do more to get it down properly. Thanks, Frank!
