Love makes me go aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!

Love makes me go aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!

18" x 24" x 1.5"

Acrylic on Canvas

This painting is available for purchase here.

You know those amazing moments when you are completely overwhelmed by the intense beauty of life and brimming with love for all your fellow beings? This painting depicts just that! This happy, joyous painting is filled with funky colors and designs to express the exuberance of being alive and being in love with every facet of the universe. As an illustrative point, a man presents a woman with ever-multiplying hearts that bubble to the top and burst against the gold and copper metallic words "love makes me go aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!" The couple is dressed in Western European attire from the 12-14th centuries. While the artwork portrays the concept of 'love' as something shared between a man and a woman, I feel that the overall message of the painting is far more all-encompassing and captures of the essence of feeling 'love' for all people and things, regardless of gender, age or species.

The surface of this piece is textured to create a sense of depth and substance. A portion of the painting is surrounded with a teal blue beaded border. The colors and designs arise spontaneously and reflect my interest in tribal and aboriginal art, specifically in the act of storytelling through nonrepresentational means. My abstract art is also heavily inspired by my world travels, particularly my visits to remote tribal villages in the Kutch region of India, as well as my visits to temples and roadside shrines in Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. The sides of the artwork are painted black, making it ready to be hung on the wall directly without a frame!
