White Wild Rose ~ Jacqueline Gnott Watercolor Studio

7" x 5" ~ Watercolor on Paper
I enjoyed doing the "drama" in this piece. Going from a light, light to a dark, dark and keeping in mind the whole time, that you're painting a white rose. That's the challenge. I had fun with the leaves too. In my still lifes I do a lot of wallpaper and cloth patterns, and I'm especially fond of the old fashioned cabbage rose pattern. The leaves are in that style.
