Pink Rose ~ Jacqueline Gnott Watercolor Studio

5" x 7" ~ Watercolor on Paper

Private Commission
If there is a graceful flower, I think this Rose exemplifies just that. It looks very soft and feminine. The Rose itself is a very delicate pink color, which is also reflected in the upper stem. One of those details that help with the realism. The background is gradated from dark at the top to accentuate the Rose itself, to lighter at the bottom to let the leaves stand out. But I tried to make the background very smooth. It's a lovely watercolor.
