Another from my first set of illuminated tiles working primarily with illuminated Kells images … a striped sky blue/pinkish gray textured tile containing a mixed media collage consisting of paper, ribbon, acrylic, sprinkles, stars, shine and illumination. Although protected with a non-yellowing indoor/outdoor matte sealer the tile should not to be placed outside. The sides and back are altered and painted all the way around. This piece is best free standing. 3.5″Squared.

This tile reminds me so much of a friend mine (now deceased) whose father was a map maker. He worked in his father's office and was taught the intricate practice of creating map where every tiny line makes a difference. As an adult he became a profound artist working primarily in marbling paper and creating 3-D masterpieces from that paper. His training as a map maker gave him the patience and the attention to the smallest detail which made his career a success.

Each original tile is titled and signed by the artist on the back.
