"Flint Canyon Trail - Autumn"
16 x 20 oil on canvas
SOLD (but I have other autumn landscapes)
The low slanting light of autumn reaches deep into a trail in La Canada Flintridge, illuminating an old equestrian trail that passes under a stone bridge just a short distance away. The autumn leaves have fallen but an unseasonal rain brings fresh green grass.
This work was a joy to paint, expressing nature at her most radiant.
If you are in the Southern California area, I'll be painting Saturday afternoon in the tearoom lobby of the Huntington Langham Hotel as an "artist in residence" ... this Sunday I'll be taking part in a group plein air paintout at the new Americana mall in Glendale, California on Brand Blvd. Come say hello
