This painting has a lot of symbolism in it. The Bible is an old antique one that I have at the studio. Over it is draped white carnations symbolizing Christ's purity. Under the carnations is the scarlet ribbon which symbolizes Christ's appearance throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It has to do with Jesus' genealogy and his influence of the historical figures of the Bible. The red candle represents Christ's light in the world. "I am the light of the World". And of course the Bible reflects God's Word and the power it has in the lives of those who read it and need guidance in their lives which it has done for me many times. Thanks for looking.
