Actually I started this painting a year ago and had to let it sit for a long time while I worked on many art commissions.
It is executed with a soft style and several layers of glaze. The scene is interesting to look at due to the many interactions going on.
It depicts a cafe scene in Paris. Les Deux Magots is one of the most famous cafe located in the quarters of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. This place had once a reputation as a render-vous of literary and intellectual elite of the City. It is now a popular tourist destination.
A lot is happening in this scene: three couples are prominent as well as a waiter and a woman citing her cake with fork.
