Painted early this morning, on location, between 9 am and 11 am. Conditions sunny and windy, just right for a brisk walk on the beach, or as in this case, for a feathered creature to spread it's wings. This guy was a bit curious, he decided to come and have a look at what I was up to. On the foreground, is a pool of water, left by the high tide. The stripes are tire marks by service vehicles, as they are busy getting ready for yet another busy summer season. I really applied paint on this canvas, clearly you can see thick, dense brushwork in the foreground.
