Small Canal (singel) in Ypenburg

oil on canvas,
17 x 24 cm ( 7 x 9.5 in.)

price - 120 euro, ( $ 150 US + s/h)

Better late, than never. Didn't get around to making yesterday's painting until 8:00 pm (20:00 hrs). By the time it was finished, and I drove home it was too dark to take a photograph, as I prefer natural lighting. A common scene in rural Holland. Water management systems, have been, out of necessity, perfected in this low, yet highly fertile land. This work has a nice play of reflection on the water. It is hard to make out in this photograph, but there actually is a small black feathered duck floating in the middle of the canal. These waterways are home to many a feathered creature.

Bye for now, and welcome to the newcomers on my mailing list.
