To reach the "Castillo de Butrón" (Butron's Castle) you will have to drive through farms and rural houses on a white sandy road. We visited this incredible castle in 2004. From the surroundings of the castle I got the inspiration for this painting.
At that moment it was a museum, a tourist attraction and a place that you could rent for your wedding (it must be incredible to get merried there!). The castle was recently auctioned for half a million euros, with the prices of the real estate in the north of Spain this is really cheap, what a wonderful home it would be...
