Today's painting was actually made yesterday evening, however I made the final touches on it today, in my studio. This was painted just prior to the sun setting. One could already see the warm colors at the bottom of the sky, also the top of the waves are reflecting colors cast by the sun. The surfer is calling it a day, the mast in between the two lighthouses indicates a sailboat cruising into the harbor, also bringing an end to their day at sea. It is low tide, this time of day, as shown by the mother and child, taking in the wonder of yet another beautiful Northern sunset, whilst standing on the edge of a wave breaking pier.
