I sat on my patio this evening with my little paint box and did this Impressionistic painting of one of my ruffled irises. This is one of my favorites, although I love them all. My husband remarked the other day that irises could have been the inspiration for French lingerie. The delicate flowers do look very sensual. They smell really nice too.
