Striking! As an aside, do apricots grow in clusters? I think we saw one by a restaurant in Bennington Vermont last weekend but we didn't know what kind of fruit it was (either did the waitstaff).
Apricots grow on trees, not in clusters (like grapes), but sometimes crowded together. Like apples or plums, (or even cherries) the fruit on the tree branches has to be picked one by one. But sometimes when they're crowded together, several can be grasped by one hand, and can be picked all at once.
