'CHERRIES and COPPER' by KM Withers

5x7 oil on canvas panel....$125

Reds, oranges, and purples are the main colors in this study of a small copper pot with a spill of cherries...a poetic pair. It has been awhile since I painted the illusion of metallic surfaces...really forces the eye to discern what is happening on the surface and then translate that to the canvas...no easy feat. I will likely be doing this particular pot many times...it is one of those 'paintable' objects artists love.
