"GUARDIAN PEAR" by Marina Petro

"Guardian Pear"

Original Oil Painting on Canvas Board

If you look closely you can almost see the angel wings behind the larger pear. This was not intentional. I could have accentuated them a bit more but I got lazy.

The following is an email to my three daughters this morning. Subject line was "Fraidy Cat Report"
Well, I had a bit of a hard time sleeping last night. Vic (my sweetheart of 13 years-I put this in for you blogger reader's benefit so you know who Vic is)is at Nate's visiting for the weekend. I was cold. I figured when we turn down the heat at night his body heat has been keeping me warm. I turned down the heat before going to bed and froze, even after I got up to put a sweatshirt on. So, I had to get up reluctantly after about an hour, go downstairs, and turn the heat up. Had some hot milk and went to sleep. I also had two night lights on. See, when I lived alone I never watched Forensic Files and CSI type shows-hardly ever watched TV- so I didn't have those images in my head so prominently and...we had just watched the Exorcism of Emily Rose the night before...

Anyway, when I woke up at 7:30 (late for me) this morning I came down and there was a HUGE black spider right there by the pantry closet. We have had no spiders for MONTHS. This is a cosmic joke! What kind of God or mischievous spirit would do such a thing to a nice girl like me? I know this means something...

Anyway, I managed to sneak by it to get the fly swatter because I didn't want spider goo on my pristine slipper. One swat did it and down the toilet he went to his watery grave.

That's the report.
Hope I don't have one for tomorrow morning.

Do you think I should put this report on my painting blog? Yes or No

The consensus was yes so here it is...
