Today a quickie. Basic shapes and easy brushwork, no detail at all. No more than 15 minutes (that gives you an idea of how fast my brushwork goes sometimes!). The background I wanted it to be purple for some weird reason I wanted to paint with purple today, but quite didn't like it. Afraid that I was going to ruin the apples I didn't wipe anything off, just grabbed prussian blue from my palette and mixed them together. I like the contrast. Dark shadows give drama to the whole scene, and that's exactly the light source I had.
