6" x 7" ~ Watercolor on PaperPrivate Commission
This lovely watercolor is awash in the sunshine. I love it when the sunlit side is so light it almost makes you squint. The little petals have that slight upturn as if it's dancing. Pretty in Lavender!! (as opposed to Pretty in Pink!! Maybe I do too many pink flowers :~) ) The background is as smooth as could be, with streams of sunshine flowing to the iris. A very soft, subtle gradation.
