Taking a Bow ~ Jacqueline Gnott Watercolor Studio

11" x 6" ~ Watercolor on Paper

I love to refer to pears as if they are people. Am I isolated too much as a watercolor painter? Possibly, but I just thing pears have their own unique personalities. They are so-o-o-o cute!! These three are bowing, to thank you for enjoying their performance. Okay, maybe I'm overstepping the lines of reality. No fear, the boys keep me grounded. The shadows are very light, soft cobalt, with black directly underneath the pears to ground them. The pears are full of all the speckles and scrapes that help make them very realistic.

I'm painting a lot this weekend as next weekend I have a workshop, so I will be preparing for it and not blogging toward the end of the week. Then on Saturday I will post photos of the workshop and paintings-in-progress from the attendees. It'll be fun.
