Painted in the autumn / fall of 2006. This was painted on a trip in October to Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, in Maine. The bright autumn colors with the combination of red, orange, yellow ocher, and intense green, and yellow green I found here seemed to be a potpourri of color. The trees with the color and the limps extending out was visually exciting. The building behind set everything off, providing a note of contrast. It is the firehouse, in the village of Mt. Desert.
