This is a scene from a recent trip to the Mohawk River. Even though it was an overcast day, there was just a soft bit of light glowing beneath the large heavy clouds. The river and the sky had this quiet beauty that I had to capture.
Speaking of "Quiet Beauty"... that's the name of my first solo show at Mimosa Gallery coming in November. I've been busy working on some larger pieces, similar to this one for the show. More details to follow later.
This is an oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas (1.5 inch deep). The sides are painted black so framing is optional. The painting will arrive wired and ready to hang.
