This was painted last month, July 2008 in Brewster, NY. It was painted at dawn, early morning and captures the glowing sky at that time. The scene depicts the boat landing at Peach Lake with a docked boat. I put in the yellow note (part of the chain) as I thought it made an important contribution to the overall painting (making a contrast with the blue-purple distant hillside.
