Restaurant Scene I

I am fascinated with painting people , especially in restaurants so I decided to do a series of small paintings based on scenes taken from restaurants. I decided not to detail the faces completely as I do in larger paintings because these minis are too small. Also, I like the effect of wonder this creates as viewers provide their own features. This also gives them a more contemporary look.
I am framing them in a 1 1/2" black wooden frame which sets the picture off nicely. To start off, I am doing a set of four scenes which I will post subsequently.
