This was painted last fall / autumn near Chester, NY, which is near Sugar Loaf, NY (where I was showing paintings). The center of interest are "The Two Barns", they are supported by orange, yellow, green, red etc. fall foliage, and behind them are "The Highlands", the grey-purple mountains of the distance, which act as a foil for the autumn foliage.
