Wheat Stalks app 4 x 8 oil on wood panel

Calling them wheat stalks may be inaccurate - I heard someone call them ears of wheat. Salvador Dali painted the wheat masterpiece which was in the collection of the famous designer Coco Chanel at the time of her death. I never see it in the articles and books I read about him, but I once saw it in a Life magazine when I was in school, so I know it exists (or at least existed). It was exceedingly detailed and natural looking, I think he may have used a magnifying glass or microscope. Thomas Hart Benton painted a wheat painting in a totally different style, and any others I know about are haystacks and wheat fields. E-mail me at artistjohnwlong@live.com
