Crape Myrtles grow in abundance around the buildings in this complex and they bloom profusley during the summer. By now they have produced seeds which I understand are quite poisonous. Sometime during the winter they will cut all the branches clear back to the trunks. They all look dead. But in the spring back they come. I guess the trimming keeps them looking manicured.
