The Jazz Bass Man - 40 plus years ago I lived and worked in Kansas City, MO. which was known for its Jazz clubs. I would spend weekend evenings listening to all the greats of the time. The clubs were dimly lit, smoky and filled with the best jazz in the country. There was even one club, the "Flight 42 Club” that was housed in a retired airliner, I think a Boeing 707, that had been towed in and remodeled into a jazz club. Some of you may remember it. Another great place to hear the greats of the times was "The Place in Westport" near the Plaza. There were many others and also there was downtown. This painting reminds me of some of those wonderful evenings. Your comments are welcome.
