California Impressionist Landscape Painting - La Canada, La Crescenta Valley View

Crescenta Valley View
9 x 12 oil on canvas on board

From high in Cherry Canyon, overlooking the Crescenta Canada valley, the morning sun wraps the landscape in a dreamy glow. This is the part of California beloved by Hanson Puthuff, Alson Clark, Benjamin Brown and so many other early 20th century California impressionists. Houses have come, poppy fields have gone but the hills and valleys and morning light remain the same.
