Dawn, Peach Lake

Dawn, Peach Lake
Oil - 9 x 12"
Click here to bid on this painting.
This was painted just this past summer, August 2008, at my familiar painting spot where I often study dawn's colors and the reflections of the sky upon the water; Peach Lake in Brewster, New York. This particular morning was a clear day and the cool air of morning was clear giving bright, sharp colors to the far shorelines, the darker colors of foreground, trees and bushes push everything else back into the distance of space. The lake is calm with just a few ripples reflecting the bright sky. One can clearly see the progression of sunlight from the left.
