Russell Baker - Fall Colors- Watercolor 9 x 12 on 140Lb Paper

Fall Colors - Not for Sale -

If you have ever been in northern Minnesota in September you've experienced nature’s natural beauty, the fall colors. I personally haven't seen this in about 20 years and now only see it from pictures people send me. This watercolor is painted from memory and is of a lane near "Pokegama Lake".

As I progress with watercolors I see technique changes that I need to make to achieve the results I am looking for. If you've never used watercolors you should try them. It's a wonderful learning experience. Your comments are welcome.

You have achieved wonders with watercolor and I admire your colorful results, especially from memory. I've never been in Minnesota, but if it's that beautiful, I'd like to visit the Pokegame Lake area.
