White Hydrangea Still Life
12" x 16" oil on stretched canvas
White hydrangeas are interesting to paint because of the various colors reflected in their white flowers. I placed them against a vivid yellow background reminiscent of Van Gosh's colorful backgrounds. I tried to make the vase translucent which was a challenge. I hope I was successful.
