A fun little Valentine... these two cuddling candy hearts look cozy to me on the green velvet. "YES DEAR" and "ONLY YOU" seem to reinforce the idea that they'll stay snuggled together.

Silly, I guess, but I wanted to pursue a lighthearted idea. I've been working on other larger pieces and needed a break.

Something else I've been working on is the idea for my Challenge Painting. Last month I mentioned our Challenge Group at my blog and the (as yet) unrevealed subject of our painting challenge for February.

We are all working on the same subject, although we don't know what the others in the Group are doing with it. On February 15 we will reveal all our paintings on each of our blogs. We are all pretty jazzed about this monthly project. I hope you'll watch for our first unveiling in a couple of weeks at my blog!
