"Soap Factory" by Naquaiya
original scratchboard engraving
measures 7" x 5"
The soap factory is the name of a shop where beautiful soaps are made by hand. It is located in an old brick building that really struck my fancy. I also loved the idea of the motorcycle parked in front--were they shopping for soap?
Because the panel was so small on this drawing, most of the engraving had to be done with a needle under a magnifying glass. Very tedious. The building is located on Commerce Ave which is the "old town" of Longview, WA.
