"Moon Night Diptych" by Karla Nolan, framed painting on glass

I am working more exclusively in glass these days -- painting directly onto it, using 5-6 different types of specially formulated paints. It's hard. It's really hard. I want to capture a particular feel and look. Sometimes it glimmers. Other times I want transparency. And still other times -- opacity. I almost always paint places I have been, flowers I have either grown or seen growing in the wild. I really do love what I do, but it's a long and difficult process some days. So....if you don't see quite as many posts these days (I try for at least every other day) -- that's why. The constant experimentation, the actual painting process, then repairing, then framing -- it takes a while, believe me!

This is a cosmic painting, of sorts. The night time sky is also mesmerizing in the West; you can actually see it! I've been on either coast and the city lights don't give you a shot at the stars! I live by the foothills and the mountains -- I can only imagine what the colors are on the earth at night. Here's my presentation to you complete with close up!

"Moon Night Diptych", 16"x20", sold framed as shown, $960 includes s&h in N. America, Paypal preferred, click button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information
