I find roses to be difficult (for me) to capture in paint.
As usual, black is a terror to photograph. I spent over an hour and this is the best I came up with. The color is very close to real life in the closeup- the full painting shows too much peach color...but that came at the price of more reflections. I don't have a scanner- always relied on photographing.
