Scissors and toes, classical realism and figures by Dominique Amendola

A young girl is sewing a ribbon on her dress. This is painted in the classical realism style.
With this painting, I paid particular attention to the design and the careful placement of the figure in proper balance with the environment, the window and the antique sewing box. It takes a long time for an idea to strike somtimes. Then I have to think about it for a long time. I don’t start painting until I have it all worked out in my mind.
