This is my favorite pastel painting from our day at Curtis Mansion. The honeysuckle bushes were in full bloom and I loved the way the sun backlit them and created a sparkling halo. I wanted to capture the deeply shaded atmosphere and the little glints of sunlight in this landscape and I was very happy with the outcome!
