Oil on 5x7 canvas panel.This is my contribution to The Crumpled Paper Challenge at DPW posted by Kim Rempel .
Kim's challenge: "Take a piece of paper, crunch it up, put it in a well-lit setting and paint! It's a great exercise to study shapes and relative values. I would suggest a plain paper in order to see value shifts more clearly. "
After crumpling the sheet of paper and throwing it on the desk, I saw an old-timey bonnet. Guess it's like seeing shapes in clouds.
This was done with the painting knife. A lot of fun laying the thick paint!
