LANDSCAPE #5 - OAKLAND BEACH WATERCOLOR PAINTING

LANDSCAPE #5 - OAKLAND BEACH WATERCOLOR PAINTING  (9 X 12)
I love this photo reference but was intimidated to paint it.  The painting is much more realistic than the photo, actually, so I'm happy with it.   This tells a story -- the dog is looking over his shoulder, at a seagull maybe, Jaedon (in red) has found something interesting in the sand/grass, and Joshua is just treking along with frisbee in hand to the wide open area of the beach. In the distance is Newport. On really clear days you can make out the bridges from Oakland Beach.

“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot.
In your soul are infinitely precious things
that cannot be taken from you.”
Oscar Wilde
