The
artist is the confidant of nature,
flowers carry on dialogues with him
through the graceful bending of their stems
and the harmoniously tinted
nuances of their blossoms.
Every flower has a cordial word which nature
directs towards him. ~Auguste Rodin
"Heart of A Flower" original watercolor painting in the same bright color palette as yesterday's painting. Both paintings are watercolor on Aquaboard and fixed with a spray lacquer (so the watercolors don't run) and framed without need of glass or mat. The pigments of the paint don't sink into the surface as they normally would with watercolor paper, so the color you put down is what stays and the color doesn't fade. Normally you would have to put several washes of watercolor paint before you get the desired color intensity
