"The Nudge"

Attention Horse Lovers - particularly wild horses! This
pastel was done from one of my photos
that I took on Wild Horse Mesa while in
southwestern Colorado.
This frisky yearling was a little leery of our presence
and kept nudging his mom, as if to say,
"Get Away!" but she was quite curious.
Their willingness to hang around made me think
that perhaps they weren't really THAT wild,
but going by the name of the place you have to wonder.
They were at least - enjoying free range.
