Daily Painters.... Yellow Iris..Margaret Aycock 6x6 oil

Thanks to the Daily Painters I was able to take advantage of the small window of opportunity to paint the beautiful Irises in my garden this year. I can't believe I have never painted my irises before. Well actually I can believe it... The Iris and Peionie and primroses all show up at the same time and I usually choose peoney w primrose. This year, instead I chose to do mini paintings of individual flowers that can be displayed in groups rather than a large still life. What fun! This is one of 4 iris that I completed.
