This is fresh off the easel. Actually it was painted in 2003 and retouched Monday night (May 11, 2009) in my Brooklyn studio, mostly a matter of lightening values here and there, softening edges and striving for overall unity. It was originally painted in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The scene is in West Boothbay, looking out toward the distant peninsula. Most of the paintings from that trip to Maine have been sold, this is one of the last remaining ones.
