Every year in September, my fellow artists and I head to Chincoteague for a "paint out" that ends in a show run by Nancy West who owns a gallery there and it has become quite well known drawing many artists and patrons. I saw this duck among many others holding up traffic and he was the only white duck and the light was hitting him just so...I had to paint him!
