Coast Guard House, Block Island Watercolor Painting

Coast Guard House, Block Island, Watercolor Painting is 10 x 14 inches. This is a redo of another painting. Looking for another painting, I looked at the other and said it needed to be scrapped. It is 300 pound paper, so very strong, so I put it in a bath and scrubbed it all out until it was light enough to paint over. This is overlooking New Harbor on Block Island with the Rose of Sharon bushes framing the view.

Some thoughts on enduring adversity:

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant;
if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome."
...Anne Bradstreet
