Norma Wilson Original Oil Still Life Art

Party Of One

6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.

Today was a very busy day with preparations for my painting session with my dear friends, Adele Loomans, and Claudia Finn.  We first had some lunch together and then got into our projects.  One of the great things about spending time with other artists is sharing ideas, inspiration, and getting some critiques on paintings that are in process and bouncing around ideas for new ones.  I had so many ideas and energy after they left that I didn't know where to start.  Luckily I had my challenge to work on and it was to work on an abundant party scene.  This is my spin on it!  One awesome dessert is all it takes to spell PARTY to me!  I decided to work with a palette knife for this one after looking at H.W. Dixon's site.  She is a wonderful palette knife painter.
My next challenge post will be on Thursday night.  I can hardly wait to get back in my studio tomorrow and work on some of my new inspirations!  Hope your week is going well.  :-)
